This was a fun and simple project we did the other night while watching TV that we both thought would be a cool one to share! We have quite a few wine corks lying around and wanted to find ways to re-use them (very green). Side note, we are not crazy drinkers, we just like having people over for dinner and also happen to work in bars on the weekends, so corks are easy to come by - just clearing that up! Anyway! We decided it'd be cool to pick out our favorite ones and make them fridge magnets. The cutting turned out to be a bit trickier than we originally thought but in the end we're pretty excited about them.
We started by going through our cork collection.
We narrowed it down to a few favorites
Cutting corks is serious business! After cutting them we used a roll of sticky magnet and cut them into strips. Just to be safe we used a touch of Liquid Nails to keep them together. We left them over night to dry and the next morning - awesome wine cork magnets!
My favorite birthday card (from Joe - obviously)
